In 2012, Anny Ruth Courson née Pimentel took over the Loma la Gloria family farm and began experimenting with processing techniques. She also reached out directly to roasters worldwide. We had the pleasure of sampling coffee with Anny Ruth at our Carmel Mountain store and selecting some of our favorites from her recent harvest.
This coffee is dry-processed, a method we observed firsthand at Loma La Gloria a few years ago. Each batch is meticulously monitored and turned to ensure controlled maceration and fermentation. Anny Ruth’s innovative approach has quickly made her a standout in the coffee world. Plus, she’s got two fantastic giant dogs and a newborn to keep her busy!
